Bruce Claassen
Bruce Claassen began his career in Montreal, working first at The Montreal Star prior to joining the agency media ranks. In 1990, he moved to Toronto to help launch McKim Advertising's stand-alone media arm, the McKim Media Group.
In 1992, Bruce was recruited to head the newly-merged media independent, Genesis Media Inc., as its first president, eventually buying out the original owners. During his tenure at Genesis, Bruce had grown the company to become the largest wholly Canadian-owned media management company in Canada.
In October 2007, Bruce merged Genesis with the Aegis Media Group network Vizeum, to become Genesis-Vizeum, part of Aegis Media Canada. Bruce currently acts as both CEO of Genesis-Vizeum and Chairman of Aegis Media Canada.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA from Concordia. He is actively involved within the industry, and is currently on the Board of the ICA, the OSO, NADbank and ABC, and is President of CMDC.
